Board-Level ECU and Module Repair
Most shops handle a failed control module one way: replace the whole unit, then program the new one. That is expensive, and sometimes a new module is not even available. We work at the component level, repairing the actual circuit board inside the module so your original unit lives again.
Corroded traces, failed capacitors, cracked solder joints, damaged connectors, and burned components are all repairable under the microscope. Because your original board keeps its own data, board-level repair often avoids the programming and immobilizer complications that come with a replacement.

What this covers
- ECU, ECM, PCM and TCM board repair
- Water and corrosion damaged circuit boards
- Failed capacitors, resistors, and solder joints
- Damaged module connectors and pins
- Amplifier and other electronic module board repair
- A cost alternative when a replacement module is expensive or discontinued
Signs you might need this
- A replacement module is expensive, back ordered, or discontinued
- Your module took water or corrosion damage
- A module works intermittently or only when warm or cold
- You would rather repair the original than reprogram a new one
How we approach it
- 1
Diagnose the board
Under magnification we find the failed components, corroded traces, or bad joints that are causing the fault.
- 2
Repair at the component level
We replace the failed parts and repair the board itself, restoring it to working condition.
- 3
Test before it goes back in
The repaired module is tested to confirm the fault is gone before it goes back on your vehicle.

Is board-level repair cheaper than a new module?
Often, yes, especially on expensive or hard to find modules. It also keeps your original programming intact. We will tell you when a repair makes sense and when a replacement is the better call.
Can you fix a water damaged module?
Frequently, yes. Corrosion and water damage are common and often repairable at the board level if it is caught before it spreads too far.
Do I need to remove the module myself?
No. Bring us the vehicle and we take care of removing the module, repairing the board, and reinstalling it, all in the shop.
